How Did We Make Those Drum Sounds?

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

For this session, we raided my toolbox and stuck various nuts, screws, bolts and whatever else we could find inside the strings of the piano.  This is a technique pioneered by composer John Cage.  We didn’t follow his exactly measurements or materials, but used this idea as inspiration to make our random assortment of sonic mayhem.

‘Welcome to Colfax’ featured on Anji Bee’s Chillcast this Week

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011

One of our favorite podcasters, Anji Bee, put together a special Chillcast called ‘Sad Pianos’ this week and featured Daniel’s piano solo interpretation of his electronica track, ‘Welcome to Colfax.’  We are so happy about this that we’ve added ‘Welcome to Colfax’ to our tracks available for download if you purchase ‘Hammer Inventions’ now – 2 Weeks Left for the Pre-Sale on Bandcamp.  We are so excited to share this album with everyone soon!
